But the weather is changing again getting warmer with overcast conditions, Steve fishing 29/30 for an overnighter landed a 17 and a 20+ this afternoon, so hope that is a good sign of things to come this week.

14 SEPTEMBER 2011
Tuttie Fruity joined the 40+ club today she now joins Butt head in this exlusive club so we now have two huge pristine commons. She graced the net of Dave Tozet from devon who went home with a new PB he also had two other fish from the dam wall peg, bait and tactics kept close to his chest.

After Dave Tozet left Mark Aughton a local plumber tried his luck on peg 71/72 fishing a 12hr night session, at 7pm he landed an 18lb+ grassie (new pb) at 7. 20pm came a 10lb+ mirror after turning in for the night he was woken at 10.30pm by a screamer on his middle rod and after a good fight a 35lb+ mirror (new pb) graced his net, after some photos he nodded off thinking he had had a good session. Then at 4.15am he was awoken again with that positive sound from his buzzer saying fish on, his rod bent into what initially felt like a good fish then realizing it felt like something special a good fight ensued, in the darkness he slipped his net under a huge common with his head torch shining onto what he recognized was Butt Head at 46lb+ (new pb) he didnt sleep much after that ,110lb in 10 hours. He left for work at 7am tired but very happy and elated. We had a slow end to August and begining of Sept but things seem to be hotting up at the moment.

2nd August 2011
Two weeks since last report with over 40 fish out. (Some anglers are driving out at the end of the session without fillig in a catch report, it would help if you can report your catch so we can get it on here. Thanks.)

I must say since stocking Mainline baits the results speak for themselves. But looking at choc malt, cell, grange, monster tigernut they all seem to be around the same colour. June was a good month with a lot of fish landed including all our biggest residents, they all came through the spawning season fit and well and ready to munch.
July has started really good with lots of twenties and high doubles showing a good number of fish being taken off the top with dog biscuits and on zigs.
In the last 24hrs we have seen three twenties and a thirty five Peg 48/49 = 24+ Peg 20/21 = 26. 8oz – 17 .7oz – 16. 5oz – 20. 2oz Dam wall = Dan Barlow 18. 2oz ghostie, 16. 9oz big scaled mirror.

One of our regulars Konstantine Konstantinov (or Kosta to those that know him) took a week off from his duties in the local restaurant and spent it on peg 34 and the Dam wall when it was quiet. He was rewarded with the biggest individual weight under our watch, with over 400lb of carp including six twenties. but still that thirty T-shirt eludes him. ( Keep trying Kosta ) Using different baits from, Cell bottom bait, Cell pop up dumbells, and dog biscuits.
