CARP MATCHES

We are running the 48hr doubles carp matches again January to March 2012 with the same format as last time. 

Eight qualifiers with the winners of each match going through to an eight peg free final, winner takes all.

Hoping for a good prize pot. depending on the uptake.

Starting the weekend of 27th Jan. — 3/5 – 10/12 -17/19 – 24/26 Feb. — 2/4 – 9/11 -16/18 Mar 2012

Final to take place March 23/25 2012

FOURTH MATCH WON BY DOMINIC  MORRIS and MARK OSBALDESTON, WITH THE CAPTURE OF BUTTHEAD AT 44lb 6oz, OFF PEG 87/88 USING MAINLINE NEW GRANGE TIPPED WITH PLASTIC CORN.

Also in the same match Liam Newton caught Chocolate Orange at 16lb winning himself £549.

 

Match 2 and three had to be cancelled due to ice, so the two best runner up weights in the other qualifiers will also go into the final.

Four matches left and six places up for grabs, even more reason to get booked on.

FIRST MATCH WON BY OLIVER MATHER AND MATHEW FARRARI, OFF PEG 65/66 WITH A 12lb. 14oz  MIRROR

NOT THE BIGGEST FISH BUT BIG ENOUGH TO GET INTO THE FINAL.

SECOND AND THIRD MATCHES CANCELLED DUE TO ICE.  ( So the two best back up weights from the remaing matches will also qualify )

Enter in pairs or if you do not have a partner we may be able to partner you with another single entrant. All bookings are to be done through the office either in person or over the telephone 01254 822 208.

Entrance fee per person is £60 which includes £40 peg fee and £20 into the pot, for telephone bookings,  the peg fee will be deducted from your debit/credit card and the £20 paid cash on the day to avoid incuring a tax liability.

Barbles hooks only (we do not allow crunched or micro barbs )

Free running rigs ( Safe zone leader is allowed )

No lead core

Braid as a hooklink not as main line

No nuts

No bait boats

All anglers must be in possesion of a current rod licience, large unhooking mat and large landing net.

All catches must be weighed on the fishery scales and verified by the on duty bailif ( day or night ) tel No will be provided on the day

No unauthorised visitors on the peg and no visitors to assist any angler

Anti social behavior/alcohol abuse will not be tolerated

If a match has to be abandoned the result at that time will stand

If no fish are caught , or a match cannot take place the second best weight in the other qualifiers will go into the final

Your swim consists of half way across the lake and half way to the next peg

On drawing a peg you agree to abide by the above rules.
