Summer has now well and truly  landed and large amounts of fish are being caught accross our lakes…

Our largest resident known as “Butt head” was caught on 11/07/10 weighing 41lb 12oz’s
off peg 61/62 in mid water!

Pendle View Fishery is set in picturesque countryside near to the A59 at Barrow in the heart of the Ribble Valley between Preston and Clitheroe. Taken over by the Harnick Family in 2008 Pendle View has continued to develop and is now recognised as being the North West’s Premiere day ticket venue for Carp fishing, with Carp in excess of 43lb recorded.

Our fishery consists of three lakes, a tackle shop, cafe, eating area, shower block and luxury fishing lodges.
STOP PRESS:
We are going to be stocking the main lake with some new residents – BIG PIKE! We have a number of large Pike on order it is hoped that these predators will help the ecosystem in Pendle View by providing a natural balance to our fish stocks. We will of course let anglers fish for them but not until October. A Pike season will be established and we hope that Pendle View will be just as famous for it’s Pike sport as it is for Carp in the years to come!
In addition the main lake is being restyled slightly in that pegs 87, 88 & 89 (outside the white hatchery building) are all being removed.
We are replacing these pegs with two new ones on the adjacent bank (opposite the dam wall) so that anglers have better command of the water in front of them…
As you can see from this illustration Peg 87, 88 and 89 (shown in red) are being moved to the new locations shown in green so that anglers can cast without fear of crossing the lines of fellow anglers.

When the existing pegs are removed and the banking is planted up anglers will have a whole new set of features to fish to
Effectively this area will be another set of shallows, and we all know how popular the shallows are in summer.
The new pegs will be ready in 3 weeks time….
We have also made adjustments to the existing shallows opposite the lodges by creating a new single peg to relieve pressure and make the shallow corner peg easier to fish. This peg will now be a single peg meaning that rods can be spread out a lot better!
